Reflector Talks

Consumer Protection Center (hereinafter – CRPC) within two years, has taken control of the project activities of the reflectors.
Collecting and analyzing the results of the project, the main conclusions are as follows:

• Offering reflectors to the market, they are not identified as personal protective equipment (hereinafter referred to as PPE);
• retro-reflecting devices not CE marked or not complied with its proportions, so that non-compliance with regulatory requirements;
• Reflectors are not provided by the manufacturer or its authorized representative, prepare public information in languages reflecting the use, storage, cleaning, etc.
• Reflectors are not provided with the supporting documents, depending on the category of PPE;
• Name of goods are often changed and the consumer is being deceived:
CRPC, has established that the Latvian stores are often sold inappropriate reflectors. - Declaration of conformity.
